So in real life I’m taking this filmmaking 101 course that starts in like an hour lol, and I hastily signed up for it even tho I’m like poor, to give context. In the dream, this course is on an island far away, and I travel there with Caitlin who is not taking the course but wants to at a later time (also true irl she wants to take it but is away rn). When we get there, we get there early and have this weird familiarity with the place and there’s this like scoundrel rebel boy there. Reminds me of the drug dealer boy in The OA. Caitlin and I proceed to build this stage platform, and theres a song that only her and I can sing (in the dream it’s an Arca song) I decide I’m not going to take the course when I get there because I had forgotten to make sleeping accommodations and had nowhere to sleep. The course is meant to start the next day so Caitlin and I start walking around looking for a place to sleep when we find a cat and Punch, the monkey. So we decide to take them both with us, and end up in my family home where my dad informs me it’s not Punch, it’s another cat, because HE had punch. The next day we go back to the film school where the director of the program is this like Tilda Swinton-esque lady, and I inform her I’m too burnt out to do the course but they can keep our stage platform. She says okay but please stay for the opening ceremonies. The school has church youth group vibes, and the ceremony is this ritualistic ceremony with robes and chanting and Caitlin, myself, and two others I’m not sure of anymore get up and follow the robed people up to the altar where one of the robed people pulls a chunk of hair out for us to offer the altar. People in the crowd are confused as to why we are walking with the robed people in th ceremony and not sat and watching. After the ceremony we see Ramsey (the irl teacher of the course who is a friend of Caitlin and I irl) and the director lady says to him I’m not doing the course anymore because I’m sick but she doesn’t believe me. So I tell Ramsey that I just want to take the course at another time with Caitlin, and that they’re more than welcome to use our stage platform as long as people know her and I bought and built it. Then the rebel boy starts singing the Arca music which is a shock to everyone because Caitlin and I are the only ones who can sing it usually. The dream tapers down with just church youth group bonding vibes
